The Greatest Treasure

More Valuable Than Gold or Silver

Gold and silver may preserve material wealth, but the redemption, healing, and salvation offered through Jesus Christ are beyond price.

The Bible reminds us that even the most valuable earthly possessions cannot compare with what God offers through Jesus Christ.

Redeemed by the Precious Blood of Christ

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life... but with the precious blood of Christ.” 1 Peter 1:18–19

This passage teaches that redemption cannot be purchased with material wealth. Our worth in God’s eyes and the price paid for our salvation far exceed the value of gold or silver.

Something More Precious to Give

“Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6

Peter spoke these words to a lame beggar. His statement shows that material wealth is not the true measure of value. Peter had no gold or silver to offer, but through Jesus Christ he had something far more precious—the authority and power of Jesus’ name to bring healing.

True Wealth Comes Through Jesus

Only Jesus can provide true and lasting wealth by offering salvation from sin. Gold and silver may be accumulated and may serve useful financial purposes, but they can never redeem us or save us.

Our redemption, our worth in God’s eyes, and the hope of eternal life are treasures greater than anything this world can provide.
